US 2008 NGV Conference-Summit to be Held in Conjunction with APTA Expo

Mark your calendar!   NGVAmerica officially announced that the 2008 National NGV Conference-Summit will be held Saturday-Sunday October 4th-5th at the Omni Hotel in San Diego.  The Conference-Summit is timed to coincide with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) triennial International Transportation Expo, which takes place October 6th-8th at the San Diego Convention Center.

The Omni is located in the heart of San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter directly across from the Convention Center.  Tentative plans are for the NGVAmerica Market Advisory Committee to meet Saturday morning (10am-12noon), followed by the NGVAmerica Board Meeting/Annual Meeting Saturday afternoon (12:30-4:00pm), followed by the Clean Vehicle Education Foundation Technology Committee meeting (4:15-6:00pm). That evening, NGVAmerica plans to host a reception for Conference-Summit attendees and invited APTA guests.  The General Session will be held Sunday (9:00am-5:00pm) followed by the APTA Opening Reception.

NGVAmerica has worked with members to coordinate a 6600 square foot NGV Zone at the APTA’s International Transportation Expo. The Zone comprises 38 booths featuring nearly as many members, making our Zone one of the largest exhibits on the entire floor!  A full Conference-Summit program plan is in development and will be posted soon as will information about the hotel room rate, booking procedures and other event plans.
