Peterbilt has partnered with Westport Innovations and Cummins Engines to provide customers with alternative fuel power trains. The Model 386 is an LNG Class 8 vehicle fitted with Westport's GX 15L LNG engine, available with 400 and 450 horsepower ratings and up to 1,750lb-ft torque. LNG tanks can be fitted to suit customer range requirements. Details of the engine are available here. On typical heavy-duty truck applications, approximately 95% of the fuel energy used is from LNG.
